The Book Thief
By Jay
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. A vaguely postmodern, thriller-esque novel about WWII-era Germany. Post-modernism is often grating and pretentious, but here, it worked; the novel was narrated by Death, which is appropriate for the setting. A quick but recommendable read.
